Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. The role will require work at multiple Illinois sites including Waukegan, Gurnee, Round Lake Beach, Zion, North Chicago, and Deerfield. Expect a 40-hour week with a varied schedule.

The position involves venipuncture, specimen processing, data entry, billing support and delivering excellent patient service across diverse locations. Travel to additional sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
