Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Bloomington, IN and surrounding areas. The role may float to multiple sites, with a schedule of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Mileage reimbursement is provided; reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of experience and pediatric exposure. A phlebotomy certification for the state is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Complete physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
