Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Newton Lower Falls, Massachusetts. The PCU RN will care for patients with close monitoring needs, perform bedside care, and work 12-hour rotating shifts across a 13-week assignment.

Requirements include ACLS and BLS, plus 1–2 years of acute care experience. This travel role emphasizes rapid assessment, medication administration, and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced PCU setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PCU travel assignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record vital information.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring indicates adverse symptoms.
