Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Boone, North Carolina. The PCU RN will care for patients needing close monitoring and frequent assessment, often in a step-down or cardiac unit.

This 13-week travel assignment offers 36 hours per week with night shifts and a tax-free stipend, subject to confirmation. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS/NIH certifications, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, and at least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Travel nursing requires flexibility and ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Boone, NC location with a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer medications and document reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays.
• Respond to adverse changes and initiate corrective actions.
