Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, IA. This PCU travel assignment runs for 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week across 12-hour night shifts. Start ASAP; 1-2 years of acute care experience preferred.

You will monitor cardiac patients, titrate meds, and respond to changes using bedside monitoring equipment. ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications are required, and additional certifications may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• Travel assignment; 13 weeks with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays for changes.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring indicates issues.
