Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, IA. The RN will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, with an ASAP start for a 13-week assignment.

A minimum of 1–2 years of recent acute care experience is preferred. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will monitor cardiac and other vital signs, administer medications, start IVs when needed, and respond to changes with appropriate interventions.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH, 2 Years
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action from monitoring data during adverse events.
