Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Indiana. The PCU RN will provide care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, with 12-hour night shifts and 48 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications, and is able to handle a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while using monitoring equipment to detect changes and intervene as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH knowledge required or preferred.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment; interpret displays.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Stabilize patients and respond to adverse events as needed.
