Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a night shift.

As a PCU nurse, you will monitor cardiac patients, manage IVs and meds, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort. This travel opportunity comes with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• PCU/step-down/unit experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
