Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU — Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Indiana. This PCU RN assignment is a 12-week travel role with a 48-hour work week and night shifts, designed for experienced RNs ready for a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications. Additional certifications may be required; benefits include weekly pay and paid travel support through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting a assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
