Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Augusta, GA. This PCU/step-down role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and involves 12-hour nights with 36 hours per week.

The PCU RN will monitor patients, titrate IV medications, and respond quickly to changes in condition. Prior travel experience is a plus. ACLS/BLS required and NIH is listed among requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience required.
• PCU/step-down knowledge preferred.
• Active RN license in GA or multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret equipment displays and respond to abnormalities.
• Support patients and families with compassionate care.
