Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing assignment in Augusta, GA. The PCU RN provides care to patients requiring close monitoring who are not in ICU, with responsibilities including monitoring cardiac status and delivering medications.

The role requires 1 year of acute care experience and holds 12-hour day shifts over a 12-week duration. The position offers a tax-free stipend and a pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 weekly hours,

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.
• 1 year of RN acute care experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor vital signs and equipment; interpret displays and respond to any concerns.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring information.
