Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour nights schedule.

The PCU RN provides close monitoring and targeted assessments, delivering bedside care, administering medications, and supporting patients stepping down from ICU, while using monitors to detect changes and respond promptly.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Travel assignments and 13-week duration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitoring equipment andVital signs.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse changes.
