Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights in the PCU setting.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, NIH, and additional certifications may be required before starting. A travel RN with a focus on patient monitoring and stabilization will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• PCU, step-down, or cardiac care experience preferred.
• 2 years experience required; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays to detect changes.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
