Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Brunswick, Georgia.

The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU levels, using monitors and meds to manage stability. The role demands 1–2 years of acute care experience; comprehensive bedside care, IVs, dressings, analgesia, and exam findings are routine responsibilities. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, dayshift, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or as noted.
• PCU nursing in a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and monitor adverse reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
