Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Brunswick, Georgia. This position requires 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, and a 12-hour night shift on a travel basis.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and are prepared to provide bedside care, monitor cardiac patients, and perform necessary procedures while maintaining patient safety in a fast-paced PCU.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret specialized monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data and patient status.
