Job summary

TotalMed RN in Peoria, IL is seeking a Travel PCU RN for a 13-week assignment starting 10/26/2026. This PCU role focuses on stepdown care with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week, requiring PCU experience.

As a PCU Travel Nurse you will monitor cardiac patients, provide bedside care, administer meds, and operate monitoring equipment. Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team are essential.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, 1 Year of acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electricity displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
