MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with a 36-hour work week and 12-hour night shifts.

The role requires an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS certification, and at least 18 months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience. Housing options and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition; uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
• Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
