Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a travel assignment in Kearney, NE. This role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and monitors cardiac and vital signs equipment while providing careful patient assessment.

The PCU nurse may be called a step-down nurse across cardiac, medical, neuro and ER holding units. The RN will perform bedside care, administer medications, and respond to potential emergencies, maintaining high-quality patient care in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience mentioned.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
