Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in South Bend, Indiana. The PCU Travel Nurse will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, often involving complex medications and IV therapy.

This role operates on 12-hour day shifts across a 13-week contract with a 36-hour work week. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS and BLS.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
