TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, IN. This PCU travel role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 48 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

Responsibilities include bedside care, IVs, dressings, medication administration, and monitoring cardiac equipment. ACLS/BLS are required; NIH and other certifications may be needed before starting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required for PCU travel assignments.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience; additional certifications may be required.
• NIH certification is mentioned as a potential requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic monitors and records.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
