Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Redding, CA. The role features 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, and a focus on progressive care for patients transitioning from ICU.

The Stepdown RN will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes during transitions from intensive care to medical-surgical units.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current (AHA/ARC).
• PCCN and NIHSS certifications preferred for some assignments.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Document assessments and notify of changes in status.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient-centered care.
