Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Columbus, OH. This travel position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications ACLS, BLS, and NIH.

The PCU nurse will monitor patients closely and manage medications and IVs in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include bedside care, dressing changes, patient monitoring, and rapid response to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
