TotalMed RN in Hartford, CT is seeking a PACU travel nurse (RN) to provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients. This 13-week assignment covers 40 hours per week on day shifts, requiring strong PACU skills and acute care experience.

The role involves caring for diverse patients, developing care plans, monitoring conditions, and communicating with physicians. Certifications in BLS and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• PACU nursing experience preferred.
• Must hold current BLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-operative patients in PACU.
• Monitor patients for condition changes and report to physician.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient condition.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready for transfer or discharge.
