Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel PACU RN for a Hartford, CT assignment. The 13-week travel role offers 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts and start on 10/12/2026. You will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, working with the surgical team to ensure safe recovery and appropriate discharge planning.

Required credentials include one year PACU experience, valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel benefits and competitive pay accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per post-anesthesia nursing techniques.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during recovery.
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and incidents; alert care team to changes.
• Respond to emergencies following PACU policies and procedures.
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
• Develop patient and family education plans, including discharge instructions.
