Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Willimantic, CT. The PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, coordinating with the surgical team for safe discharge planning.

The role requires a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, days shift, and on-site work in Willimantic, CT. The travel position offers comprehensive benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a PACU RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Responsibilities

Receive and assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition
Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia
Administer prescribed medications and treatments post-anesthesia
Maintain patient comfort and safety during recovery
Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care
Coordinate discharge or transport planning and handoff communications
