Job summary

NurseStar Medical Partners LLC is seeking a PACU Nurse for a 13-week assignment at a 25-bed hospital in Grants, NM. Start date 10/26/2026; schedule 6:15am–2:45pm, DAYS, with a pay rate of $2,400–$2,600 gross per week.

Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience, be willing to float occasionally, and be proficient in sterile technique with NM license requirements. ACLS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Willingness to float occasionally.
• Adequately assess/care for antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care.
• Must know sterile technique and possess knowledge of sterile field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery, review histories, perform assessments and arrange necessary tests.
• Monitor vitals, manage pain, administer meds, provide wound care and postop education.

PROCEDURES:

• PACU RN will be responsible for preparing patients for Surgery, duties include reviewing medical histories, physical assessments and ensuring necessary tests and procedures are completed. Educating patients about the surgical process, addressing concerns or questions, providing emotional support.
• PACU RN will closely monitor vital signs, manage pain, administer medications and provide wound care, assist with mobility, ensure proper nutrition and hydration. Educate patients on postoperative care, monitor patients for complications or adverse reactions, and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure a smooth recovery process.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of experience
• Must be willing to float on ocassion
• Adequately assess/care for antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care.
• Must know sterile tech and possess knowledge of sterile field.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CPR card or be enrolled in the next available class.
• ACLS – Preferred
• NRP – Preferred
• Completion of fetal monitoring course within 6 months.

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• NM Current, temporary, or compact license
