Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse in Baltimore, MD. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with opportunities to serve as RN first assistant if qualified.

Responsibilities include assisting during surgery, providing pre- and post-operative care and education, and coordinating with the medical team to ensure patient safety. This is a travel position with 40 hours per week for 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required.
• TravelRN assignments may require RNFA or related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education and care.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications.
• Administer medications and document care accurately.
• Coordinate communication between patient, family and operating team.
