Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse (RN) for an assignment in Olney, Maryland. The role covers circulating, scrub, and potentially RN first assistant duties in the Operating Room, with a 13-week duration and 40 hours weekly on days shift.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience in the OR, current BLS certification, and ability to work within a fast-paced surgical team. Travel nurses are expected to stand long hours and handle lifting while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• RN First Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication.
• Serve as liaison between patients' family and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure for the patient.
• Initiate patient education for home care needs.
