Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The RN will support circulating, scrub, or first-assistant roles in the operating room, with 40 hours per week across day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care OR experience, BLS, and the ability to perform duties across the OR setting, including instrument handling and patient education.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be preferred.
• 1–2 years of acute care OR experience for circulating/scrub RN roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and surgical staff in the operating room.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and patient education.
• Monitor patient during surgery and communicate with the team.
• Ensure correct procedure and patient identification before surgery.
