Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (Circulate) in Indianapolis, Indiana for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. The RN will work 12-hour days (36 hours/week) in the operating room, performing circulating, scrub, or first assistant duties as qualified, with emphasis on pre- and post-operative care.

The position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and willingness to travel. Competitive pay with weekly pay and TotalMed RN benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR nursing care as circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant as qualified.
• Assist physicians and staff in pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and ensure correct procedures on correct patients.
• Administer and document medications; educate patients and families about home care.
• Position, prepare and handle surgical instruments and supplies as needed.
