Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Morris, Illinois. This travel opening requires 1 year of OTA experience, BLS, NBCOT (COTA) certification, and an IL state license.

You will work under the supervision of an OT to deliver therapy, monitor progress, document outcomes, assist with exercises, educate patients and families, maintain clean treatment areas, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State-specific IL licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress timely per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on daily living techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and facility standards.
