Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for Mound City, MO. 13-week assignment with 35 hours per week, days shifts, travel employment. Your supervision under an OT will help patients develop daily living skills.

NBCOT/COTA certification and BLS required; state licensure needed. 1 year OTA experience preferred. As part of the TotalMed Allied team, you will join a broad network placing healthcare professionals in travel, PRN, and permanent roles across the country.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS and COTA National certification are required.
• State licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT for plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility/state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
