Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Havana, IL. The OTA will work under an OT to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living and work skills, with 40 hours per week on days.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, IL state licensure, COTA National certification, and BLS. Benefits include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, continuing education, and health benefits. Travel stipend and 401k may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification.
• State-specific licensure is required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
