Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Rushville, Illinois. The OTA will work under an OT to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living and work-related skills, delivering tailored treatment plans and documenting progress.

Qualified candidates hold 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure. Expect 7-hour shifts, days, travel status, and a tax-free stipend determined by the

Qualifications

1 year OTA experience required.
Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
State licensure required.
Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and OT principles.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
