Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate 13-week assignment in Urbana, Illinois. The OT will evaluate patients, develop and implement plans of care, and work in acute care settings, with 40 hours weekly and 8-hour day shifts.

Requirements include BLS and NBCOT-OTR, plus IL state licensing. Travel role may require 1 year of experience (6 months for exceptional candidates). On-site facility support and rapid paperwork are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience required; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification required.
• Must be able to stand/walk long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, observe tasks.
• Evaluate condition and needs; develop treatment plan with goals.
• Evaluate home/work environment and recommend improvements.
• Educate patient’s family and employer on accommodations and care.
• Document patient progress and communicate with physicians per guidelines.
