Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Oklahoma. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience and holds an OK state or compact license.

Responsibilities include 1:1 patient care in IRF, day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or on-call requirements. Travel-friendly arrangement, Meditech experience preferred, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current OT license required.
• OK state or compact license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and Manual Therapy certifications preferred.
• Experience with adult rehabilitation diagnoses such as CVA, SCI, and TBI preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including hip fracture, THA, and TKA preferred.
• Experience with splinting, orthotics, and prosthetics skills preferred.
• Two references required, pending references accepted at submission.

• IRF setting with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 60 minute lunch.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Block scheduling accommodated.
• May float to acute care services to assist with patient care.
• Meditech charting system experience preferred.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings for IRF services.
• Perform assessments, evaluations, reassessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation.
• Provide patient and family education on safety and injury prevention.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, fluidotherapy, ultrasound, and TENS as needed.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Local candidates not considered; 45 mile radius requirement applies.
• Travel pairs allowed.
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration.
