Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience to provide rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population including pediatric and geriatric cases.

The role includes 1:1 care in an inpatient setting with day shifts and options for 5x8s or 4x10s, focusing on assessment, planning, and discharge documentation. BLS and licensure as applicable are required; CPSI and community hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with any charting system required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• CPSI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Patient population includes lymphedema, pediatric, and geriatric cases.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule with options of 5x8-hour shifts (7:30-16:00) or 4x10-hour shifts (7:30-18:00, Tue-Fri).
• Duties include assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge documentation.
• Skills include lifting and transfer, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention.
• Experience with adaptive equipment assessment, orthopedic conditions, and pediatric neurodevelopmental treatment preferred.
• Familiarity with modalities such as electrical stimulation, lymphedema management, splinting, and ultrasound preferred.
