American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Chandler, AZ. Position requires 2–3 years of adult SNF/IRF/Acute experience and AHA certifications.

The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team in a 50-bed facility, Monday–Friday with one weekend shift monthly; potential light float to a nearby location as census fluctuates. Maroon scrubs are required.

Qualifications

• Active OT license required
• 2–3 years of experience in adult SNF/IRF/Acute care settings
• AHA certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 50 beds
• Care for adults with neurological, spinal cord, brain injury, stroke, amputation, orthopedic and wound care needs
• PT/OT staff oversee approximately 9 patients each
• Use specialized equipment (In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, VR)
• Utilize EHR systems (UDS, Cerner)
• Mon-Fri schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• One weekend shift per month (Sat or Sun)
• May float to nearby location ~15 minutes away as census requires
• Work within multidisciplinary team with physicians, dietitians, nurses and therapy staff
• Report patient progress during team conferences
• OT staff typically report at 7 AM ahead of 8 AM shift start
• Maroon scrubs required
• Permanent address cannot be within 60 miles of facility
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
