Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role requires a Florida OT license, current BLS, and at least 2 years of experience.

You will join a multidisciplinary team on a 35-bed unit with day shifts, a typical caseload of about 1:4 (4 IRF patients per day per therapist), and access to lift equipment, adaptive devices, and an outdoor training patio. No call requirements; travel perks include housing allowances and reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active Florida OT license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team.
• Maintain day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Manage a caseload of about 1:4 with 4 IRF patients per day per therapist.
• Utilize equipment including lift devices, adaptive devices, exercise equipment and an outdoor patio.
• Chart in Meditech; transition to Expanse in October 2026.
• No call requirements.
• Perform evaluations, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, ADLs, and functional task training.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver training and education.
• Be flexible and able to work independently; weekend/holiday work preferred.
• Wear gray or black scrubs.
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted.
