Zusammenfassung

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a part-time day shift in Eden, NC. ARRT or NMTCB registration is required, with BLS and state license if applicable. 24 hours weekly, no on-call.

Responsibilities include imaging, patient prep, quality control, and documentation using RIS/PACS and Sectra or GE equipment; Epic experience preferred. Compensation includes benefits and travel support.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
• Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by ARRT or NMTCB required.
• Must maintain registry status and continuing education annually.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• 3+ years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience highly preferred.
• Registration as a CT or diagnostic technologist highly preferred.

Aufgaben

• 3x8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM totaling 24 hours per week.
• Block scheduling may be considered but candidates must be flexible on days worked.
• No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements.
• Epic experience preferred, Sectra imaging systems used onsite.
• Experience with GE NM 830 equipment preferred.
• Uses RIS, CIS, SMS, PACS, and transport tracking systems for documentation and charge entry.
• Identify and confirm patient identity, date of birth, and hospital number prior to procedures.
• Achieve venous access and administer radiopharmaceuticals, recording route, dose, and technologist initials.
• Explain exams to patients, obtain informed consent, and complete necessary documentation.
• Evaluate requisitions, charts, and lab results, and perform patient assessments.
• Confirm pregnancy status for female patients of childbearing age and arrange testing as needed.
• Handle radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines.
• Perform quality control review and ensure correct radiopharmaceutical dosage and documentation.
• Set up and perform imaging acquisition according to protocol while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Analyze and evaluate images for correctness before physician approval.
• May perform advanced duties such as PET imaging or serve in a lead technologist role
