Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment. CNMT certification and minimum 1 year of experience are required, along with state licensure and BLS certification.

The role involves 40 hours per week on a Monday–Friday day shift in an acute care Nuclear Medicine unit. You will review patient histories, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate within Allscripts EMR, and ensure safety and quality control throughout imaging procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required.
• CNMT certification (NMTCB) or RT registration with ARRT Nuclear Medicine.
• State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in the Nuclear Medicine unit.
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekends, evenings, or call.
• 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week.
• Uses Allscripts EMR.
• Review patient history and educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and medications per established protocols and regulations.
• Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve or report equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and resolving image quality issues as needed.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
