The position is a 13-week contract with travel progression and opportunities for housing and licensure support. Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• ARRT registered nuclear medicine technologist certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• License required if applicable.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical preparation, calculation, and administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and cooperation.
• Operate radiation detection, imaging, and associated equipment.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification.
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and verify informed consent.
• Perform venipuncture and maintain aseptic technique.
• Initiate basic life support when necessary.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Provide instruction to students or other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Participate in department quality assessment and improvement activities.

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT nuclear medicine registration to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program
• ARRT registered nuclear medicine technologist certification
• Current BLS certification
• License required if applicable
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers over 100 lbs using proper technique or mechanical aids
• Frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, or repositioning of objects or patients up to 25 lbs
• Sufficient visual, auditory, and tactile acuity for patient monitoring and clinical assessment
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Imaging department setting
• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per shift
• 13-week contract assignment
• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical preparation, calculation, and administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and cooperation
• Operate radiation detection, imaging, and associated equipment
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and verify informed consent
• Perform venipuncture and practice aseptic technique as needed
• Initiate basic life support action when necessary
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records per policy
• Provide instruction to students or other healthcare professionals as needed
• Participate in department quality assessment and improvement activities
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
• Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials and emergency situations
• PPE use required per facility safety protocols
