Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Pediatric Stepdown RN for a night shift. Must have an IL RN license in hand, BLS and PALS, and at least 2 years of pediatric RN experience with vent/trach/G‑tube care. PICU exposure is preferred; Meditech charting is used.

The unit handles 39 beds, 2 weeks to 18 years old, with 50–60% tech-dependent patients. Night shifts are 3x12 or 4x12, with every other weekend required and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

Active IL RN license in hand at time of consideration.
BLS and PALS certifications required.
Minimum 2 years RN experience with pediatrics.
Experience with ventilator, tracheostomy and gastric tube care.
Proficient with Meditech charting.

Responsibilities

Inpatient pediatric stepdown unit with 39 beds and diverse specialties.
Care for patients aged 2 weeks to 18 years, many technology-dependent.
Provide tracheostomy care and chronic ventilator management.
Maintain patient ratios of 1:3–4 and shift coverage 19:00–7:30.
Floating within scope and block scheduling as needed.
