Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Mesa, Arizona. The NICU RN will provide specialized care to critically ill newborns, operate life-support equipment, and support families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a minimum of one year NICU experience, active RN license, BLS, and NRP certifications. Travel pay and comprehensive benefits accompany a 13-week assignment with 36 hours weekly on 12-hour

Qualifications

One year of recent NICU RN experience
Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
NRP certification current

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per NICU protocol
Operate NICU equipment including ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps
Educate and support parents on neonatal care, feeding techniques and development
Develop and implement individualized care plans with the multidisciplinary team
Adhere to infection control measures and hospital safety protocols
