Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Chandler, AZ. The RN will work 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts and must have 1–2 years of acute care experience in NICU.

As part of the NICU team, you will monitor infants, manage equipment, assist with feeding, and support families. BLS/NRP required; additional certifications may be requested before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in NICU.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; additional certifications may be needed before start.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust NICU equipment (incubators, ventilators).
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift 10–20 pounds as needed.
