Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient radiology department in Myrtle Beach. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of MRI experience and holds ARRT MRI certification.

This role requires CPR, IV training, and active licensure where applicable, with a preference for candidates outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM and a supportive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years MRI Technologist experience.
• ARRT MRI registry required.
• CPR certification required.
• IV training required.
• Experience with routine MRI and MRA exams, body imaging, MSK imaging, neuro imaging, and contrast injections.
• License required if applicable.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient MRI department attached to the ER, no inpatient beds.
• Patient ratio of approximately 1 patient every 45 minutes.
• Unit staffed with 1 MRI tech and 1 clerical support per shift.
• Equipment includes a Signa Explorer 1.5T MRI scanner.
• Documentation systems include Meditech, GE PACS, and Intelerad.
• Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.
• Floating not required.
• Approximately 8 procedures performed per day.
• Perform routine MRI and MRA exams across body, MSK, and neuro imaging with contrast administration as needed.
• Grey scrub uniform required.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted.
