Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital. ARRT MR certification, BLS, Siemens MRI experience, and Epic charting are required. Travel assignment length is 13 weeks with a rotating schedule and on-call duties.

Local candidates may be considered on a lower rate; license needs to be current where applicable. Experience in abdomen/pelvis/MRA/MRV/MRCP imaging is expected, along with trauma-level I/II familiarity.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification and BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience required.
• Siemens MRI experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable.
• Imaging of abdomen, pelvis, MRA/MRV, and MRCP required.
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care, Level II Trauma teaching hospital setting.
• 1:1 patient ratios.
• Operate Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE Signa HDe 1.5T MRI scanners.
• Schedule: Thu–Wed; weekday 11:30 AM–9:00 PM, weekend 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.
• On-call one night per week from 9:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• No floating between units; may float to sister facilities.
• 13 week assignment length.
• Perform MRI imaging across abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, spine, MS, and cardiovascular studies.
• Scrubs provided in sterile units (OR/ICU/ER).
• No parking fees.
• First-time travelers accepted with travel experience.
• Disclose Providence history if applicable.
• Two supervisory references required (1 year in last 3 years).
• Perm Providence staff must wait 3 months before traveler return, outside 50 mile radius.
• Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate within 50 mile radius.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.
• All RTO requests submitted upfront during application.

• Scrubs provided in sterile units such as OR/ICU/ER
• No parking fees at this facility
• First-time travelers are accepted with required travel experience
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as permanent, travel, or registry staff
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Former Providence perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50 mile radius
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
