Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1-2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(MRI) certification for a day-shift assignment.

Responsibilities include MRI imaging across multiple regions, utilization of GE MRI equipment and PACS, and Epic EMR usage. The role requires BLS and CA license (where applicable), with travel within 50 miles of the contracted location and a 4x12 hour day schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years MRI technologist experience required.
• ARRT MRI and BLS certifications required.
• CA license if applicable and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and MSK.
• Operate GE MRI equipment and PACS; adhere to protocols.
• Ensure accurate imaging with contrast media and IVs when needed.
• Work day shifts; 4x12-hour schedule (7:00–19:00).
• Float to sister facilities within contracted area as needed.

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1-2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(MRI) certification for a day-shift assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT (R)(MRI) and ARRT (R) certifications required
• BLS certification required
• CRT / CA license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Adult acute care and outpatient settings, including ER/Trauma
• Performs MRI imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Utilizes GE MRI equipment and PACS system
• Special imaging procedures include gradient echo imaging, spin echo, T-1 and T-2 weighted images, MIP, MRP, and surface coils
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perform MRI imaging across multiple anatomical regions including abdomen, pelvis, brain, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal system
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Radius requirement of 50 miles for travel pay eligibility
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers not specified for consideration
