Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for 5x8 hour evening shifts (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) at a 324-bed medical center in Michigan. You will work with Siemens MRI equipment and must hold ARRT MRI certification and current MRI experience.

Responsibilities include preparing the scan room, screening patients, administering contrast as needed, positioning patients, and generating complete records for radiologists.

Qualifications

• MRI experience is required.
• Siemens MRI equipment experience is required.
• Active ARRT MRI certification.
• Active BLS certification (AHA).
• License required if applicable.
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to MRI specialty required for consideration.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for MRI examinations, including administering IV or oral contrast as needed.
• Screen patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and answer patient questions prior to imaging.
• Position patients appropriately and utilize correct protocols, coils, and restraints during scans.
• Ensure proper image orientation and prepare complete records for radiologist review.
• Matching scrubs of any color required.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment.

• Uses Epic EMR and Siemens MRI equipment
• 5x8 hour evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• One weekend per month required (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
• No call requirements
• Prepare scan room and patient for MRI examinations, including administering IV or oral contrast as needed
• Screen patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and answer patient questions prior to imaging
• Position patients appropriately and utilize correct protocols, coils, and restraints during scans
• Ensure proper image orientation and prepare complete records for radiologist review
• Matching scrubs of any color required
