Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of hands-on Siemens MRI experience to support a Level 2 trauma acute care center in Wisconsin. This role requires ARRT and BLS certifications, hospital setting experience, and the ability to start IVs.

The department operates with multiple scanners and a rotating schedule; travel and local candidates within 80 miles are welcome at a reduced rate. Cerner EMR and Siemens PACS experience preferred; orientation provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year MRI Technologist experience required.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required.
• Hospital setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting with Level 2 trauma designation.
• Department has multiple MRI scanners; performs a wide range of imaging studies including Level 2 trauma cases.
• Average of 38 scans per day.
• shift schedule includes 2 PM–10 PM and 10 AM–6 PM; may float between inpatient and clinic settings.
• Participates in weekend rotations and on-call as needed.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and hands-on Siemens MRI expertise for a Level 2 trauma acute care center.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT and BLS (AHA) certification required
• Hospital setting experience required, as opposed to clinic-only experience
• Must have hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment
• Must be able to start IVs
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting with a Level 2 trauma designation
• Department has 3 MRI scanners in the attached clinic and 1 scanner in the hospital adjacent to X-ray
• Performs a wide range of imaging studies including Level 2 trauma cases
• Average of 38 scans/studies per day
• 7 staff members in the department until 4:30 PM, reducing to 2 staff after 4:30 PM
• Weekends staffed solo with the exception of an assistant
• Uses Cerner EMR and Siemens PACS
• Shift schedule is Monday through Thursday 2 PM to 10 PM and Friday 10 AM to 6 PM
• May float between inpatient and clinic settings attached to the hospital
• Participates in a 7-on rotation for weekends and holidays
• Possible call or standby rotation
• Lead technologist oversees the department during the day
• Non-registered assistants support the department on weekends
• Up to 1 week of department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are provided
• Duo assignments accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
